Would this battery (the XS d3100) be okay for a stand-alone (not connected to the car electrical system) 1200-1500 watt system? Wanting it to last the day and bring it in for charging at night until I can get a Mechman alt,

I like xs power, that being said I have two hc2000 with over 4000 watts and my voltage doesnt drop below 14.2.

Whoa! Can’t believe how many people think that Kinetics are better than XS. Go learn something about how both batteries are built and come back. (With your new XS most likely)

I just went 0.5 ohm 2 days ago and I have two HC3800’s. Cant wait to do a voltage drop test at full tilt on clean power!

If you dont know the answer to that question, then you do not need to be trying to put together a REAL 5k to 6k rms system lol!!!!!

cool video xs, subscribed. i know that 3100 is the best battery here, but i have that shuriken bt120 in my suv, and i gotta tell ya, for about 2/3 the price, it holds up well, as seen with these other big boys. but my next one will be xs power for sure. deka is up there also

Hey do you think you could do the same load test with the d3100 vs the d7500?

  • ThoseWhoOppose

    12 julio, 2013

Very nice. Does anyone know how much RMS wattage 500ah would supply? Like a 5,000-6,000 RMS watt car stereo system and for how long before voltage drops and recharging will be needed?

Actually the Kinetik 2400 is the same physical size as both the Shuriken and D3100. The Kinetik 3800 is a larger physical battery. Doesn’t really matter though, because the D3100 still out performs the Kinetik 3800. Just look at the Audio Competition lanes. The majority of the world champions are running XS Power. The majority of the world records are powered by XS Power, and XS Power isn’t the company giving batteries away to competitors.

use a load tester on each battery started at the same time with all money you have you should be able to afford three load testers, i ran these all in my car and the kinetic always outperformed, especially at 12 volts, the xs is only good if u can keep the voltage up to 14.4 but if u keep the voltage up at 14.4 with a kinetik itll still outperform, for the cheaper price you cant beat the xs but if youre mean to ur equipment like running half ohm loads go with kinetik

  • apeykid69

    12 julio, 2013

the 2400 is rated waayyy less amps, than the 3100 wtf this is a lie, ad the shuriken held its own and its rated for less wattage as well, am i wron is that a 2400? please respond because i do know that is a 3100, and im 99 percent sure the kinetik is a 2400, youre comparing a battery ratek for 2400 watts against a battery rated for 3100, fail

  • apeykid69

    12 julio, 2013

ha ha a 2400 kept up with theyre best a 3100 wow put a kinetik 3800 against ur 3100 no chance in hell would it keep up

how would this battery hold up with no alternator ?? i wanna buy one of you back-stock d3100s and use it on a intelli-charger drawing only around 140 amps…. do you think i would drop below 12 volts?? thanks alot hope to hear back 😀

  • WorldWideMMAFighting

    12 julio, 2013

At least you KNOW the Kinetik is putting out 9.3 . The batteries tested after it on a load tester that hasn’t been properly cooled . Of course they will test higher . You won’t see their battery up first in this load test because all batteries tested after will out perform it . Kills me the way these commenters are falling for it .

If this video is legit which looks like it is, thats insane. it actually had a 550 amp burst on the D 3100 50 amps more that the other batteries and still manged a volt higher that the rest.

    12 julio, 2013

@Invin86rs All batteries were resting @ 13v, they were fully charged. A battery that isn’t fully charged would be below 12.8v

  • DrKrills

    12 julio, 2013

Id like to see this exact same test ran in reverse. So the kinetek would have similar testing to the xs power, for a better comparison between the two. Of course with the middle battery there just to keep it the same.

Hey brother. I’m guessing you have a very tight grip, and your grip depressed the mag release. If that’s not the case, I don’t know…

  • bkedp

    12 julio, 2013

Have you had any problems with your M&P dropping the mag while shooting? I gave them a try and went back to the Glock. Glocks are hard to beat.

…then so be it; like I said, whatever grip/method that’s comfortable for you, works! If pointing off target is what you prefer, then practice on hitting the bad guy at different ranges. Either way, put into account the adrenaline rush (how bad will your hands shake), shooting stationary or at a run, single or multiple targets (remember that they shoot back at you); train, train and train, and hopefully, we’ll be Dirty Harry one day 🙂

    Have a good one, brothers.

…groups hit at 7 inches low left; thanks to an open-minded firearm instructor friend of mine, I shoot thumbs out, front and back light pressure on the grip (which I find comfortable) and my shots improved in an hour. He works for a firearm training institute that trained Mark Walberg for his «Shooter» movie. (Okay, I may sound to be bragging but it is what it is)

Also, your sight should be trained dead on target (line of sight works, brothers), OR, if pointing off target works for you…

Pointing downrange at 7 yards and 25 yards makes a big difference (how about 50 yards bullseye with a handgun?). There is not one «secret grip» to shoot «any» firearm (be it a handgun or a long firearm) to achieve accuracy. Muscle application differs on individuals; if you’re comfortable with your grip, it should work for you, and if there IS any secret then it is repetitions: Practice, Practice, Practice.
Granted, I used to shoot with a tight grip(thumbs and all) out at 25 yards and my…

I’ve owned glocks the last 15yrs and i’ve been pretty happy with mine but I decided to try an M&P(following gr8 reviews) which I put the XS big dots on. I must say if you ‘ve been shooting 3dot sights for a while then the XS may take a bit of getting used to. The trick is to re-train yourself to focusing on just the big center/front dot…. naturally the rear will align. Side note: the M&P shoots a little low for me. It may be my grip so Ill have to do more shooting to be sure.
    Great Vid cowboy

I hit the slide lock sometimes with my thumb on my G-27. I can tuck the thumb in with a two handed grip.. This is the only malfunction I have noticed… Occasionally the slide locks, I look at it, hit the slide lock and keep shooting.. I am holding the camera with my other hand… Thanks for watching…

This is a good video because we can actually see that you’re hitting the target. Your grip looks a little weird to me with your thumb sticking out and all…but you’re consistently hitting the target so what the hell. God how I love Glocks!

I installed these sights my self. The only time I miss is when i jerk the trigger. You gotta just slowly pull back on the trigger until it breaks. I practice alot and thats the only way to shoot well. If you don’t shoot alot you will flinch and jerk the trigger. Either way you should start in close, like 10 yards, get good at 10 yards and find out where you are hitting. Then move back. These sights are designed for «defense distance» not 100 yards, but it can be done.
