20 abril, 2013I guess, you are not aware, for how many people, you are, the rich one!!
I mean you’re riding a 8,50 rib that costs, i’m guessing 50-60k pounds, maybe more. I’m dreaming about 6,50 rib for years. I can’t afford to think about buying one. If I had the money only for material, I would built it myself, from scratch. Try to put it this way: what is the percentage of the people in the world, that can own a beauty like yours?! You, my friend, are privileged one. Happy riding and love your video!

20 abril, 2013True, I dont know how much gallons per hour, but when running normal speed (30 knots) it takes about 35 liters an hour, but from there it goes exponential to wot at 50 knots with 118 liters an hour. 300 liter tank should be able to make 270 nautical mile according to the manufacturer of the boat, but I rather don’t keep track of my usage, cause it makes me sick here in holland (2,2 us a liter)

20 abril, 2013Spot on thanks for posting. It never looks as impressive when you mount the camera on the frame as the wave look flatter. How would it look with the camera mounted on your head?

20 abril, 2013Guys, everybody can have his/her own opinion, I just want to keep the boat and myself in one piece, its very easy to break stuff and unless you’re a rich ass, you would care about your hard earned boats or any other stuff.

20 abril, 2013I didn’t say I had a fishing boat in fact! These are not huge waves either and in most fishing boats you don’t have to wear wet suit and goggles! Anyway not a bad video in all and good for you.
MrJhalmoes
20 abril, 2013Well than I would like to see a video of your fishingboat in similar conditions without breaking your back, and there is no fuss, its just a nice movie about a good boat, thats all.
jspope2008
20 abril, 2013Same old thing. Because RIBS are light you have to go very slow in these conditions. A good fishing boat would do this no problem so not sure what all the fuss is about!!!

Riding the sea head vs with? The differences are massive, and can’t really compare directly because they push different aspects of the boats performance/design. The fastest speeds achieved in each condition are naturally going to be different-each posing different risks. The boat’s lenght/hull vs wave frequency vs speed, vs amount of V, vs weight ratio-front to rear all play a major factor in how fast you can run her and how she will perform etc. etc.
